Konsep Karya

The richness of tradition has made Indonesian people live with various myths, legends, and folklores. More than mere bedtime tales, these stories are even often considered real. People who hold fast to customs and tradition consider myths, legends, and folklores as their collective historical narratives. Agan Harahap assembles his own interpretation of a number of myths, legends, and local folklores into a fiction. For this series of works, he invites author Andries Sembiring, pastor Disraedon Bill Romero Sihaloho S. Si (Teol.) and musician Philip Darsono to compose the fiction into a kind of new legend. Aiming at attracting the public s interest in folklore as a cultural product, this work is not intended to confuse any beliefs in God, nor to spread any particular religious teachings. Myths, legends and folklore have proven to play an important role in maintaining the orderliness, balance, and harmony of human relations with the natural environment. with credits to the artist s collaborators: Andries Sembiring | Philip Darsono | Pdt.
