Concept

Nuansa warna-warna gelap mendominasi karya Ardana. Baginya, warna sendiri memiliki kekayaan dimensi.

The nuance of dark colors dominates Ardana's work. For him, the color itself has the wealth of dimension. Incision, scratch, melt, line and composition of color in one form is an artistic tendency found in his works. In its practice, he deliberately presents faces that are hard to identify. At first, he arranged those portraits on canvas. Then he distorted those objects to create an image that has its own presence and meaning, and it doesn't always relate to the story behind it. For him such sequence of artistic process produces the reality of a picture, a picture that can explain itself.
