Loro Blonyo

200x200 cm | Acrylic on canvas
2018

Konsep Karya
Visually, Loro Blonyo presents a pair of bride and groom, and for Javanese, they are a symbolization of Batari Sri and Batara Wisnu. Loro Blonyo is a symbol of harmony, of two elements whose nature is in the opposite but complementing each other. Its other meaning is the unification of yin and yang, sky/earth and water/sea. This work uses Loro Blonyo as a critical reflection on many events in the world these days, how inharmonious they are, in the element of human or of nature.
