Intensity Over Density, Over Intensity

Variable dimensions | Oil on Paper
2018

Konsep Karya

In these series of works, found objects and a given ground has been puzzled into a new layer of abstraction. These are attempts in execution of a painting process with the use of liberation of my brain and the muscle memory. Every single surface, details and stains, leaves a substantial demarcation that falls into linear abstraction. Non-representational objects and kitsch existing images are playing with the narration of densities through intensities of gestures. Controlled sculptural chaos, canvasses and papers give a sort of rational demystified conversation between human and non-living things. A simple idea that bridge down to the simplification of an esoteric subject as a communication ritual. A form of outlet with a losing touch from techniques and identities serve as freedom to challenge the limit of its own context.
