Smiling Angels from the Sky

10 pieces, each 98 x 95 x 50 cm | Fiberglass, lamp, wire, mechanical devices
2018

Konsep Karya
This installation is a series of other Angels' works, where the meaning of Angel doesn't have anything to do with particular religion, like what Gustave Coubert, one of the first Realism figures, ever said in his credo: "Show me an angel, and I will paint one". For me, Angel is "the inspiration itself." In this piece, the smiling Angels are the symbolism of enthusiasm in facing the future. The Angels bring "Chakra" from the Gods as the carrier of Fire of Life (Eros).
In this piece, the Angels who come from the Sky is a symbol and the Discourse of Life, where imagination, fantasy, dream, and inspiration keep on building a noble, life, culture and civilization for human and the whole universe.

Show me an angel, and I will paint one".
