Konsep Karya
Concentrating on the interrelationship between our different senses, with specific emphasis on translating one’s haptic, visual, and tasting acuities and the possibility of holding them between and throughout one another, Arin’s work visually solidifies painterly structures that render pulverized food ingredients as pigments for him to conduct aesthetic explorations under resin. Memories and experiences related to the first bite of a cupcake, drinking a cup of one’s neighborhood corner café latte, and the preparation of off-the-counter instant noodles as it enters boiling hot water; these are translated into abstract gesticulations that eloquently distill a multifaceted array of sensations.

Dengan memusatkan perhatian pada keterhubungan antara indera-indera kita yang berbeda, dengan penekanan khusus atas penerjemahan ketajaman indera peraba, penglihatan dan perasa seseorang dan kemungkinan untuk mempertahankan antara indera-inderat tersebut dan melalui satu sama lain, karya Arin secara visual memperkuat struktur-struktur artistik dengan mengubah kunyahan bumbu-bumbu makanan sebagai pewarna untuk menjalankan eksplorasi estetika menggunakan resin. Ingatan-ingatan dan pengalaman-pengalaman terkait dengan gigitan pertama kue gelas, minum secangkir kopi di kafe yang ada di sudut jalan dekat rumah, proses memasak mie instan saat air sudah mendidih; hal-hal inilah yang diterjemahkan ke dalam gesticulation (gerak-isyarat tangan) abstrak yang secara fasih menyaring lapis-lapis sensi yang beraneka ragam.
